return for a ‘trick and a treat’ with The Terrible Train of Tarot
Terror.
It invites you to experience three tales of shocking horror and hilarity as Dr Terror deals the cards that condemn each man to their (mis)fortune. Witness werewolves, voodoo vines and a hand that’s not quite ready to die...Can these travellers escape their grisly fates? And what of him... does he really hold all of the cards?

It has been a while since the last post - have been frantically busy with other things, and just plain lazy sometimes as well. But like buses, I don't have just one, but two posts to set up. This one being that Martin Hearn helped us out again with yet another Q and A - this time for the London production of Glengarry Glen Ross.
The evening went down very well, with up to a 100 people in the audience asking their questions.

Nasty Sweets presents “The Terrible Train Of Tarot Terror”. A devised physical theatre based upon the Amicus 1965 film “Dr Terror’s House of Horrors”. The Sweets bring an all new slice of mystery, intrigue, comedy and, most importantly, horror, to the stage of the Etcetera.
Nasty Sweets were formed out of the fire of Mr Johnson’s Family Sweetshop in 1932, and have worked together in the bottom of a scorched sweet jar ever since. Nasty Sweets comprises Reece De Ville, Adam De Ville, John Sandy and Martin Hearn.

As the title suggests, it has been sometime since I last updated the blog. Well I can tell you things in the horla world have been moving in a pretty regular pace.
We are currently working on our latest project, which we hope to announce very soon - however in the meantime, have a look at the picture, which might give you a little flavour of what is to come.
I am also currently working on a devised project called "The Terrible Train of Tarot Terror", based on a 60's horror movie and plays as part of the Camden Fringe Festival for three nights only from 15th - 17th August at the Etc Theatre. Tickets can be bought by visiting the Fringe Festival site.
It has been a long time since the last update - but to be honest it has been pretty quiet over the past few weeks. Until today, where I thought it would be good to mention that a Horla regular/supporter, Martin Hearn was able to help out with regards a Q and A which was held last night.
It was for Underneath The Lintel, which is currently playing that the Duchess Theatre and starring Richard Schiff. Martin did a great job of hosting the event in front of a crowd of 150 people. 
The Q and A itself was great and Richard was very relaxed and laid back and was very keen to answer as many questions as possible. The play itself was OK. But Richard was very good indeed as the Librarian.

As the title suggests - I have been doing a bit of archiving over the past week or so and discoverd along the way - quite a few old photos from the Rose and Crown / Horla past. As well as a few frightening other photos as well from the very distant and very past, past. Very haunting indeed.

During the course of the show we had a photographer take some 'classic' photos of Snow White and her parents - as the show went on, the parents, mainly the father (Michael Lovatt) decided to invite the audience into the photos as well. To see these and others checkout the photo album for GRIMMS. There are also some photos of Snow White and her parents from the 2003 production as well.
The show has now finished with great reviews and full houses - rather sad to see it go - but another year dawns and we will have to see what we have in store this year - who knows ..... keep an eye on the horla site for upcoming information.

Well Christmas is nearly over, but the season week still continues - as are we - with already sell out houses at Trafalgar over the past week and pretty much sold out for the next week or so to come. We have had some press to see the show - some liked, others not so sure. And we still await a few more reviews to come out - so fingers crossed.

Excellent Show I just wanted to say this wonderful cast who all play music, dance, mime, act, sing and beautiful production and I do not go to the theatre that regularly...took me on a journey through twisting and twisted stories that made me laugh so much I was in tears at some points. However the irony is that the fairytales seemed to reassure me even more about the general wierdness that is life. I would heartly recommend this to everyone. I can't imagine someone not enjoying this show and the only sad thing is if it REALLY is the LAST Chapter. Sophia
I went to see the piece in wimbledon on the 13the dec. And i was pleasantly supprised. It was in a small venue and there where about 20 people of all ages in the tiny "new wimbledon studio". People on the front row seats sat almost on the stage and in the action so it was a very intimate and personal experience. It might be a good idea for parents of young children to prepeare them for this, so that they understand it is only makebelieve. Because althoug there is no real gore or blood and most of the stories are told as a humorous fairytale, a lot of people die in these tales. After the first death one of the youngest children got so overwelmed by it all that she started crying seeming to think that it was all happening for real. From what I could see the rest of the children and audience enjoyed themselves though. Dirk
This show is terrific. I had no idea what to expect because there were no reviews so I'm taking it upon myself to say this piece of theatre with it's excellent cast pretty much encapsulates all I could hope for from a stage production; it made me laugh, think, imagine, and travel to a far away place which is exactly where I wanted to be taken. So thank you and if it is the Final Chapter then it is a great great loss. So please see this lovely production. Highly Recommended
