GRIMMS in Wimbledon

Just a quick note to say that the Wimbledon dates for GRIMMS - The Final Chapter are now confirmed and are on sale here - early booking is advisable, as we sold out last year a couple of weeks before the performance and the tickets are slightly cheaper than Trafalgar!

Wee ... update

Just received an email from Mr Sean Pritchett who has set up his own blog: http://www.cagedcajun.blogspot.com/. Sean had worked with Horla on Don Q, The Horla and Sleepless Nights. I also worked with him in CoTA's production of me and billy joe mcallister.
Sean now lives in the states and is busy doing his comedy and acting thang! It's well worth checking his site - he does have a way with words. If you have any sites that would be worth recommending, then just send them through and we will add them to the links pages.

GRIMMS - The Final Chapter - e-flyer

 

Please find our first 'GRIMMS - The Final Chapter' e-flyer, which we will be using to send out in a few weeks, via ye old WWW. This will be for our final Christmas show which will be playing at the New Wimbledon Studio and Trafalgar Studio 2 in the West-End this Christmas. Further details to be announced shortly.

The music is by 'A Christmas Carol' Company - with the last piece written by Carol Carpenter. This piece was used right at the end of 'A Christmas Carol' - which was on at Trafalgar Studio 2 last Christmas.

Budget drama over the summer

If, like me you like the taste of drama rather than the musical, a good place to start would be to try and catch Jane Eyre at Trafalgar Studios by Shared Experience Theatre Company. A great production, very engaging and for only £10, even on Saturdays during August, well worth the trip.

Another one to catch and again for only £10 is Market Boy at the National until 24th August - directed by the great Rufus Norris (who will be directing Cabaret later this year) and performed by a great ensemble. A real slice of the 80's! You might also be interested in visiting the video diary of Market Boy and various other National Theatre productions on the National Theatre Vlog.

Also just announced and just on sale is Amadeus by Peter Shaffer at the Wilton's Music Hall starring Matthew Kelly (?), but is directed by John Doyle, who had great success with Sweeney Todd recently.

Lastly - if you fancy getting spooked on a budget, then go and see The Woman In Black - very traditional theatre, but also very imaginative in it's strorytelling and one I will want to see again.
